Main uses

Lokfix E77 is Fosroc’s solution for large and heavy duty anchoring into cracked and un-cracked concrete. It is also suitable for anchoring heavy duty rebar. It has industry leading strength and low partial safety factors with a design life tested up to 100 years. Applied with 3:1 application gun, it may be used in dry, damp and flooded conditions. Comes with industry leading accreditation and design software.

For concrete (solid, porous and light), masonry and hollow bricks.

Lokfix is a two-component polyester resin anchoring grout, meeting the requirements of BS EN 1504-6: Anchoring of reinforced steel bars.

Supplied in pre-measured quantities, the material cures quickly to give consistent, high performance anchorages.

Lokfix P : Thixotropic grade, 25 minute gel at 20°C for use in overhead or horizontal holes where the hole is up to 25 mm greater in diameter than the bar. The thixotropic nature of Lokfix P reduces flow of grout out of the hole.

Method of Application

Hole preparation and formation

• Optimum performance of Lokfix requires rough sided, dust free holes. Uses of rotary percussive drills with air or water fl ushing is recommended.
• Diamond drilled holes should be under-reamed unless necessary safety factors are incorporated.
• Cast holes should preferably be inverse dovetail configuration.
• If parallel sides holes are cast they should be rough to provide adequate keying.

Bar preparation

• All bars should preferably be degreased and all flaky rust removed.

Mixing

• A complete pack of resin and catalysed filler should be mixed in one operation. Mixing may be carried out mechanically. When a smooth, even consistency is achieved the grout is ready for use and should be placed well within the gel time of the grout (See datasheet).
• Packs have been designed to produce practical and economic volumes of grout.
• Do not attempt to mix partial pack components.

Installation

• The grout should be injected to the rear of the hole to avoid air entrapment. The thixotropic nature of Lokfix P will prevent significant flow of resin out of the hole.
• The anchor bar is then pressed into the hole to the required depth.
• Slight agitation of the bar will assist in achieving a complete bond. The bar should then be left undisturbed in the required position until the resin is set.

Cebex 100 is an admixture for cementitious grouts where a reduced water/cement ratio and positive expansion is required. Applications include bed grouting, duct grouting, non-shrink infilling and jointing.

Cebex 100 is supplied as a powder admixture. The material is a combination of a plasticising agent and a gas producing expansion medium. The plasticising agent allows the use of a reduced water/cement ratio with consequent increased strengths and durability. The expansive medium counteracts the natural settlement and plastic shrinkage of the grout and aids stability and cohesion. Sufficient restrained expansion is developed to ensure a high degree of interfacial contact.

The plasticising action of Cebex 100 allows reduction of the water/cement ratio of cementitious grouts whilst maintaining flow properties. This gives improvement in strength and long term durability when cured under restraint.

Lokfix E55 is Fosroc’s solution for medium to heavy duty anchoring into cracked and un-cracked concrete and post installation of reinforcement. Also used in stone and masonry. Low temperature grade is available. Comes with industry leading accreditation and design software.

• Accredited* for use in dry, wet and flooded concrete substrates, internal and external exposure.
• Can be used with cracked concrete
• Fixing of post installed reinforcement and tension anchors

• For horizontal, vertical and overhead application

Lokfix S : Pourable grade, 25 minute gel time at 20°C for use in vertical down holes where the hole is 8 to 40 mm greater in diameter than the bar.

Lokfix P : Thixotropic grade, 25 minute gel at 20°C for use in overhead or horizontal holes where the hole is up to 25 mm greater in diameter than the bar. The thixotropic nature of Lokfix P reduces flow of grout out of the hole.
