• The correct quantity of Conplast SP430G8 should be used by means of a dispenser. The measured quantity of Conplast SP430G8 should be added along with a part of gauging water incase of batching plants. Alternatively, correct dosage should be used with about 20% of the total water in the last phase after the mix has been prewetted.

• Nitofl or Hardtop Standard shall possess a minimum compressive strength of 50N/mm 2 . when tested as per IS: 516-1959.

• The base concrete should have a minimum cement content of 300 kg/m 3 . The concrete mix should be designed to minimise segregation and bleeding. Free water cement ratios of less than 0.55 are required. The concrete should have a slump of between 50 and 75mm.
• Use of Fosroc’s water reducing admixture is recommended. The base concrete should be laid and compacted in accordance with good concrete practice. Accurate fi nished profi le and minimum laitance build-up should be ensured. Particular attention should be paid to bay edges and corners to ensure full compaction.

Nitocote SN522 complies with BS 6477-92 Class A and Class
B as silicone - based water repellent.

For application on brickwork, concrete, cement rendering,

complies with BS6477-92 Class A.

nature, complies with BS6477-92 Class B.

• Conbextra GP2(T) is used for precision grouting where it is essential to withstand static and dynamic loads. Typical applications would be the grouting of base plates of turbines, compressors, boiler feed pumps etc., It can also be used for anchoring a wide range of fixings. These include masts, anchor bolts and fence posts.

• All grouting shown on the drawing must be carried out with a pre packed cement based product which is chloride free.
• It shall be mixed with clean water to the required consistency.
• The grout must not bleed or segregate.A positive volumetric expansion shall occur while the grout is plastic by means of gaseous system.

• This must be kept to a minimum. Generally the gap width between the perimeter formwork and the plate edge should not exceed 150mm on the pouring side and 50mm on theopposite side. It is advisable, where practical, to have no gap at the flank sides.

• For best results a mechanically powered grout mixer should be used. When quantities up to 50kg are used, a heavy duty slow speed drill (400-500 rpm) fitted with a paddle is suitable..
• Larger quantities will require a heavy duty mixer.
• To enable the grouting operation to be carried out continuously, it is essential that sufficient mixing capacity and labour are available. The use of a grout holding tank with provision to gently agitate the grout may be required.
• Consistency of grout mix The quantity of clean water required to be added to a 25kg bag to achieve the desired consistency is given below
• Pourable : 4.125 litres
• Flowable : 4.500 litres
• The selected water content should be accurately measured into the mixer. The total content of the Conbextra GP2(T) bag should be slowly added and continuous mixing should take place for 5 minutes. This will ensure that the grout has a smooth even consistency.

• At 30 C place the grout within 20 minutes of mixing to gain full benefit of the expansion process.
• Conbextra GP2(T) can be placed in thicknesses up to 100mm in a single pour when used as an underplate grout.
• For thicker sections it is necessary to fill out Conbextra GP2(T) with well graded silt free aggregate to minimise heat build up. Typically a 10mm aggregate is suitable. 50 - 100% aggregate weight of Conbextra GP2(T) can be added.

• For bonding fresh wet cementitious materials to existing cementitious surfaces. For use on horizontal or vertical surfaces where mortar or concrete can be supported by formwork. The long ‘open’ life makes it suitable for use with formwork or where additional steel reinforcement has to be fitted. The product is ideal for roads, bridges, pavements, loading bays and factories and for bonded or granolithic floor toppings. Nitobond EP is equally suited to internal and external applications.
• Nitobond EP may also be used as part of a repair system where a substrate/repair barrier is required or where the substrate is likely to remain permanently damp or wet.

• Design criteria Nitobond EP is designed to have an overlay time of 90 minutes at 20°C. The minimum application temperature for Nitobond EP is 5°C. Consult your local Parchem sales office for further information.

• The bonding agent shall be Nitobond EP, a two-component solvent-free epoxy resin. The 2 components shall be differentially pigmented in order to ensure visually that correct mixing has taken place prior to the application. The product shall achieve 50MPa compressive strength, 20MPa tensile strength, 35 MPa flexural strength and 25MPa shear strength. The adhesive bond to the concrete substrate shall exceed the tensile strength of the host concrete.

• Preparation Clean the surface and remove any dust, unsound material, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits or algae. Roughen the surface and remove any laitance and expose aggregate by light scabbling or grit-blasting.
• Oil and grease deposits should be removed by steam cleaning, detergent scrubbing or the use of a proprietary degreaser. The effectiveness of decontamination and soundness of the substrate should then be assessed by a pull-off test.

• Any steel reinforcement and formwork should be prepared, cut to size and shape, and made ready for assembly before mixing commences.
• Care should be taken to ensure that Nitobond EP is thoroughly mixed. The ‘hardener’ and ‘base’ components should be stirred separately before mixing to disperse any settlement. The entire contents of the ‘hardener’ tin should then be poured into the ‘base’ tin and the two materials thoroughly mixed using a suitable slow-speed heavy duty drill and mixing paddle for 2 minutes until a fully uniform colour is obtained. The sides of the tin should then be scraped and mixing should continue for a further 2 minutes.
• Nitobond EP should be applied as soon as the mixing process has been completed. It should be brush or spray applied to the prepared surfaces. Spray application requires a heavy duty airless spray machine such as Graco airless spray fitted with 19 -20 thou tip. Refer to Graco for specific advice.
